Sportster Touring in Texas
« on: March 22, 2016, 03:25:29 PM »
The other Rick and I just got back from a fantastic 9 day 2500 mile trip to Big Bend Nat. Park.
Here are a few pics.

South of Madrid on NM HWY14

Rick disappeared in here for a while nursing a cold one. White Oaks NM.

On the Mexican border just east of  Presidio. Wonder where Donald's wall is going to be here  :laff

Two very similar machines...

In Big Bend, the only mountain like things in all of TEXAS :cheesy:

On top of  Emery Pass east of Silver City NM, super cool windy road.
The Sportsters were great, the skies were blue, the roads empty and two guys were very happy.

Very cool! Thanks for sharing the pics, I am sure there are many fun stories to be told.
79' Yamaha RD400 Daytona Special "The Daytona"
74' Yamaha RD350 "The Little Hot Rod"...currently under the knife.
02' Aprilia Capo Nord "The Mighty Ape"
93' Kawasaki KZ1000 Police cafe' "Snoopy"

Have a good and Godly day, for what lasting value is a good day if it is not also a Godly day?

Was a fun trip. I am so totally surprised at how much I loved travelling on that bike. I think I could totally ride that thing to Alaska (with some suspension upgrades)!
Who are the grateful dead? And why do they keep following me?
