Gas Tank, any old Tank ?
« on: December 30, 2015, 07:10:47 PM »
Anybody have an old tank laying around for a project I'm fiddling with?
Skinny and long preferred. Will pay for a nice one
Thanks

The Guzzi tank is too much of a teardrop, thanks though. Hey, can I take the one off your Triumph  ::giggle.

I've got a 1966 Honda Super 90 tank that is also free with the purchase of the bike... $600. I also have a Honda FT500 Ascot tank that has some dents... I was going to use it on my street tracker but if someone had $35 and a tank off a Moto Guzzi California  they could take it with them.

No you guys have me all confused, I thought you might know what I want  :embarrassed:
Looking around I think something along the lines of an old RD tank would look nice....

I think I have an RD tank!... I will check tonight and get right back to you... Pretty sure it is but it's one that Conner "custom painted" for me... If you can get by with a 6 year old's artwork on it, it is available... cheap! Actually, Conner is probabbly going to be famous some day so you may want to clear over it and keep it as is.. just sayin'

If you want it, let's trade some stuff ... Do you a pair of 13" shocks? Honda 12v single post coil? LED tail light? square leather saddlebags?

Can you measure the inside dimension of the channel. It needs to fit over a 3 1/4 " pipe.
I'll go and dig for shocks, do you need clevis or regular mounts on the bottom end ?
I have a Yamaha single coil if that works

Chris,

Yes there is a bike but at this time it is in pieces on the shop floor, have been dealing with a ton of crap lately. Scott Clough built my motor, Race Tech GV's/springs, MC chambers, MZB iggy, Excel rims/spokes, 30mm carbs, Trac Dynamics swing arm(never do business with them) and the list goes on. I was hoping to make it to the bike show this year but I really need to turn up the pace if it will happen.
It is a 75 350
