What will you be doing this winter in the garage?
« on: December 21, 2014, 03:19:47 PM »
Like the title says, what sort of projects, maintinance, or other aspirations do you have for the garage this winter?

Me? I plan to get this Kawi beast finished! :o
79' Yamaha RD400 Daytona Special "The Daytona"
74' Yamaha RD350 "The Little Hot Rod"...currently under the knife.
02' Aprilia Capo Nord "The Mighty Ape"
93' Kawasaki KZ1000 Police cafe' "Snoopy"

Have a good and Godly day, for what lasting value is a good day if it is not also a Godly day?

Tune on Tante Hilda... Finish the CL175 restoration for the poor fella that has been patiently waiting for it... install tires, fork seals, and service the CT90... HAVE A HUGE Ebay parts blowout for all the things I will never use or get to!

I have a friends 1966 CT200 that he bought new, waiting for me to finish.
I have most all the parts too.
Who are the grateful dead? And why do they keep following me?

This winters project has two wheels but only one axle.  ;D  Since we sold our "Daisy" camper we'll be restoring "Candy",
our new 1957 Cardinal camper. Bike wise, I'll leave things alone unless something falls into my lap

Chris there are two 50's or 60's era camp trailers around the corner from me... If you are looking for another? They are along the edge of someones back fence and not out for sale.. but I bet......

Anyway, let me know if you are interested I will send you a picture from the road if you like.

I got the new diaphragms for the Keihin carbs on the KZ400 today so I will be cleaning some carbs putting in some new stuff and gettin them back on the bike in the next few days, hopefully try for a start up soon,,then all that is left is the paint..Also plan on getting the DR in so I can shorten the Kick stand it needs about 3/4 of an inch cut off to get a little more lean to it, previous owner must have lowered the bike but didn't  shorten the stand,,have to be real careful where you park it cause it wouldn't take much to tip it over. Also thinking about making a single wheel trailer  :o

Hey Rick, I have a 14tooth sprocket for your DR , I used it a few times for trails, found that the stock is too tall in first to go put put over rocks.
it'll still do 70 fine on the road, you can have it if you want, it's like new.  Also check out ProCycle , they have every part you could possibly bolt
on a DR, including a lower side stand. If you want I'll be glad to shorten yours for you.

Well it's gotta be an FJ then, test rode one in 93 with my wife on the back, almost lost her when I shifted into second gear
Loved that bike but loved her more so we bought the TDM  ;)
