Great job on the brochure Rick.  Just curious who did the artwork if it wasn't you.  And even more  so........giving all the profits to those WW2 vets is just awesome, who because of them, we can thank for our freedom and standard of living.  Attributes that most Americans just take for granted especially the younger generations.  Attrlbutes that are slowly eroding away and may be lost if we don't wake up.  Thanks Rick for doing your part.

The High Desert Scooterist are going to register a classic Vespa in the show. Possibly three if everything works out. Regardless, we are planning a ride out to support Western Colorado Vintage…

For those that took a chance on the weather, they were rewarded with beautiful weather, and a fantastic display of old iron. We had aprox 80 bikes on dispaly durring the busy part of the day, not too bad considering it has rained just about every day this May, and it was an absolute downpour on Friday. A lot of folks just didnt chance the passes to get here, since most of them were snow packed. I am certain that we might have had close to double the turn out if we had good weather the previous week.

Here are the winners of our judged catagories, Peoples Choice, and favorite Rat Bike:

American:
#1 Jeff Horvat- 1940 Harley Davidson
#2 Dwight Benson- 1948 Indian Cheif
#3 Bret Fontanari- 1955 Harley Davidson Panhead

British:
#1 Jim Remmert- 1969 BSA Thunderbolt
#2 Tim Hickman- 1974 Norton 850 Comando
#3 David Walton- 1970 Triumph Bonneville

European:
#1 Joe Davis- 1974 Ducati 750GT
#2 Ross Price- 1979 BMW R100S
#3 Nick Greer- 1984 BMW R100RS

Japanese:
#1 Roger Burnes- 1961 Honda CA110
#2 Tim Lepley- 1972 Kawasaki H2
#3 Rick Willhite- 1975 Honda CB400Four

Peoples Choice:
Jeff Horvat- 1940 Harley Davidson

Rat Bike:
Craig Terry- 1940 BSA

Here are some pics of the show. I did not take any myself, but Shannon (my wonderful wife) took a lot of crowd shots. If any one has more pics of the bikes, please post them up. Just clickity click on the picture to open up a slide show...
