Upcoming Events/Meetings / 2018 Annual Vintage Show Date set!
« on: November 06, 2017, 08:11:17 PM »
The date has been set for the 2018 Vintage Motorcycle Show! Mark your calendars for June 2nd, 2018  :banana

This will be the 10th Annual show, and will be fantastic. Each year the show gets bigger and better, and we are expecting 2018 to be the best yet. A big change for 2018 will be a new promoter and man in charge. Yup, after 9 years I am handing over the reigns to a terrific man that has a desire to see the show grow even bigger and better. The show will still hold on to the family friendly atmosphere, and continue to draw fantastic motorcycles from all over Colorado and surrounding states.

The continuation of this website is still in question, but our Facebook page will continue as it has. Make sure to like and follow Western Colorado Vintage Motorcycle Association on Facebook for show details coming up in the next couple of months.

See you all on June 2nd, 2018  8=)

Well, I watched the Mighty Ape go off into the sunset this past weekend. It went to a guy in Boulder that has been wanting one for quite a while, and he was thrilled to get mine. It really was sad to see it go, but I feel really good about its new owner.

With endings, also comes new beginnings...... I am now part of the Ducati family with an ST4: code name "Ducky". Not a bad new beginning huh?  :::motorcycle6

General Discussion / Important announcement about the website

Hello All,

The domain name for will be expiring at the end of 2017 (yes, that will be at the end of December). Many years have gone by since I originally started the site, and I have had a lot of fun, as I am sure all of you on here have. After much consideration, and a decision that was not easy to make, I will not be renewing the domain name. What this means, is that will no longer be active under my name, and will go offline. However, it is open to transfer if someone else is willing to take over the monitoring and financial expense of the site so it can continue.

As mentioned, I have truly enjoyed being a part of the Western Colorado Vintage Motorcycle Association, have made some great friends, enjoyed many many incredible rides and activities together, and I consider myself to be wonderfully blessed to have shared a passion for motorcycles with you all for the last 11 years. I am not going anywhere and will still be around, but it is time for me to pursue other adventures with my growing family.

Thanks to everyone for being a part of the team!

Hopefully it will go to a loving local home. I'd really like to get something a bit more comforable for my bride, a little lower and easier to jump on board.

Yeah, dont onow if Photobucket is doing something new or what, but it looks like $39 bucks a month to utalize 3rd party photo sharing? Did I read that right? Now I have to figure out how to post pics through an attachement  :why

Welp, I have made the decision to let the Mighty Aprilia go on the auction block. Going to try and get into a sport tourer, maybe an FJR 1300 or the like. So saying that, my 2002 Aprilia ETV1000 Caponord is up for sale. About 33K miles on the clock, runs really well, most service records all kept in a nice folder, recent diagnostic test at Erico Motorsports in Denver with a clean bill of health. Givi top box, Givi pannier rack with Doskocil side boxes, and a few extra bits. Asking $3800 OBO. I am the second owner, with the original owner being a good friend, and I know he kept very good care of her. Those that know me, know how meticulous I am with all of my vehicles, with this motorcycle being no exception, and know that it slept peacefully in my garage. Give me a call or message me here if interested. 970-216-8633

I am gonna jump on the KZ and meet you in Whitewater. I only have time to ride up the hill, I'll have to turn back there to make afternoon appointments, but at least I can say high for a few miles.

The hot glue type really does not work very well on thicker walled fuel tanks. Best way is paintless dent tools, or weld on studs to the outside of the tank. Either of those methods will damage the lining in the tank, but if it needs a new liner then that isnt a problem. I have had great success on dents in tanks with paintless dent tools, and have made a couple specific for tanks out of some 3/8" rod.
